rental is located on the Colorado River, just a two miles north of the
Gulf of Mexico and sandy Matagorda
Beach. East and
West Matagorda Bays are just a short boat ride away for exciting Matagorda
fishing or hunting. For visitors interested in beach combing, there
are more than 22 miles of beach covered with interesting sea shells,
drift wood, and sand dunes. The Matagorda area is recognized as one
of the  best
areas on the Texas coast for fishing, hunting, and birdwatching.The town of Matagorda is only 6 miles to the north offering you restaurants and any supplies you need. Rawlings Bait Camp is within walking distance and the Matagorda Jetties are close by. More details and information below. |

Features: You will enjoy our lighted fishing pier....there is plenty
of room to dock your boat while not fishing or you can fish or set crab
traps right out your back door! The spacious decks on the East and West
sides of the house offer great areas to relax and view beautiful sunrises
and sunsets over East and West Matagorda Bays.Furnishing: 2 bedrooms/1 bath; kitchen with full size refrigerator, microwave, stove-oven, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, pots-pans, glasses, bakeware, corningware, mixing bowls, and utensils. Queen bed, 1 full bed, 1 twin bed, 2 full size futon couches, all brand new. Bedspreads, pillows and comforters are provided BUT NOT SHEETS AND TOWELS. Telephone (local calls only), alarm clock. TV, VCR and satellite dish and radio....Air conditioner and ceiling fans in each room. Bar-B-Q pit, and outdoor lawn furniture....table and chairs under the house and on the decks. West deck has "loungers" for your relaxation. There is plenty of parking space but NO RV's allowed! No pets or smoking inside the house. Not Provided: Be sure to bring your own sunscreen, bug spray and of course, your food. If you wish to do any outdoor cooking, you will  need
to provide your own charcoal and lighter fluid. If there is something
that you left at home or need during your stay,
the community of Matagorda with grocery stores, gasoline, and restaurants
is just a short drive away. Rawlings
