Matagorda Bay Fishing Report

11/17/07 - Capt. Walt Schelle had a good day fishing in East Matagorda Bay drifting with live shrimp under a popping cork. The four fishermen,
Bobby Howard, J.B. Rhodes, Mark Arensman, and Loren Taylor, brought in a total of 33 speckled trout, 4 sand trout, and 2 redfish.
There were also a lot of undersized trout caught and released, too.
10/27/07 - Lee Zimmerman and friend from the Houston area
fished with Capt. Walt Schelle. Two reds and 14 trout were caught
in East Matagorda Bay fishing under the birds with soft plastics. www.matagorda-bay.com/kingfisher.htm

of Kingwood, TX - caught 20 trout from 15" to 18" on
soft plastics drifting East Matagorda Bay.

drifting the Colorado River
Oct 20th...Fished Oyster Lake on Friday with Ann and Lonnie Carroll
of Irving, Tx. caught lots of small ones - brought in 1 25-inch redfish,
5 trout and 1 black drum using live shrimp under a popping cork.
The redfish was caught by Mrs. Carroll and was her first redfish.
