Hot and Heavy!

The days can be Hot but the stringers are Heavy! The surf and bays are really turning on and fishing will just improve in the weeks ahead.

Barbara and Sidney Struss from Eagle Lake own an operate A.J. Struss Heating & Air Conditioning. They handle York & Carrier Brands and are the friendliest folks you would ever want to meet.
A.J. Struss is a well known business and has been located in Eagle Lake for many years. I have had the pleasure of fishing with them many times now and I always look forward to fishing with them. They are go getters when it comes to filling the cooler as you can see in the pictures!

Foks, it is getting close to the opening day of Deer Season but those of you who choose not to hunt; pick up your pole and load your gear because this is actually some of the best fishing to be had now and for several months to come.

The Bull Reds are starting to run and in November the big Reds will be up in the surf producing millions of babies for the future. October and November being the top months for Bull Red catching. These big fish will be giving some surf fishermen havoc! Hooking up to one of these wall hangers is a real thrill and a big Red can take up to 30 minutes to land. The big Bull Reds can be caught in the surf or in the Jetty area using cut Mullet or live, Crab, Croaker, Shrimp or Sardines. The new Gulps are becoming very popular also!

So don’t worry, fishing season is now open too! Go for a Bull Red and I guarantee, every year from now on, you will be hunting but, for a different species called the elusive Bull Red!

The fall and winter months are also great for very nice Speckled Trout also and slot Reds. The weather is very mild and the fishing is great so instead of going hunting; try your hand fishing during the best months of the year! You might just be glad you did! If you have never had a tango with a monster Bull Red, contact me and I will put you on an experience of a lifetime!
