Mark Talasek is the one you are looking for if you want to go catching
instead of just fishing. He is one of the few full-time guides in
Matagorda who's only job is guiding. Captain Mark was born and raised
in the Matagorda area & has been fishing since he was 6 years old.
He comes from a family of commercial fishermen. His father is also
a full-time fishing guide and brother operates a local bait camp.
A life long experience of studying bay patterns help Captain Mark
and his clientele bring home fish when the other ones don't. He
would like to share some of his knowledge of the Matagorda Bay system
with you on your next trip. Captain Mark's proffessional attitude,
knowledge and strong work ethic will ensure you of a safe and successful
trip. While wade fishing is preferred, drifting with live shrimp
is an alternative for those who want to stay in the boat. He will
custom tailor you trip, whether it be for the old pro or the novice
of fisherman. Women and children are always welcome. At the end
